In this episode we visit the Grand Rapids Art Museum during Festival of the Arts for some silly hat making. Founders Brewing Company was a blast with some big band music. We also had another visit to the Grand Rapids Children’s Museum and Camp Concordia. Take a look and enjoy. May even has a couple of videos thrown in there for good measure.

Our May was filled with visiting Great Grandma and Grandpa Holzhausen, the beach at Millennium Park, camping with Grandma and Grandpa Klein, and Drake running around with my camera. I’ll let you guess which photos are his.

All of my past Animoto videos can be found on my Videos page, or on my YouTube channel. One thing that does bother me about Animoto is that there is no public page that displays all of my creations.

I’m not sure I would ever watch it again, but thanks to Redbox, TiVo, and a large hard rive I can pull it to the TV again. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who does not have a profile page on IMDb, are funny. The only cast member that bothered me was Steve Martin. I just can’t put my finger on it, but for some reason I just don’t like him very much. Maybe it is all of those stupid Pink Panther promos that he did.

Yesterday for Free Movie Monday I ripped rented Sex Drive. Theresa had made the recommendation. We’ll probably watch that one later this week or next. I still have the X Files movie on the TiVo waiting to be watched. Once there is a night with no TV on I’ll watch that.

Today I am going to pick up Transporter 3 and The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas. I feel kind of bad for getting all of these free rentals from Redbox, so I am going to pay for a couple, plus the are only $1. On top of that I should be getting a fresh disk since these were released today. The potential of scratches should be zero.

I’m not sure what I will get for Free Movie March Wednesday yet. Maybe Body of Lies.

I was going through old LiveJournal posts and found them again.

Epic 2014 is the original flash online movie made by Robin Sloan for the Museum of Media History. Set in 2014 it charts the history of the Internet, the evolving mediascape and the way news and newspapers were affected by the growth in online news. It coined the word “Googlezon” from a future merger of Google and Amazon to form the Google grid, and speaks of news wars with the Times becoming a print only paper for the elite culminating in EPIC Evolving Personalised Information Construct As a flash animation, this film is extraordinary, not just for it’s use of technology but for it’s fantastic perception looking forward.

Epic 2015 is a new updated vision of the future set in 2015.

I rented this movie spontaneously from the Redbox at my local supermarket. At first I didn’t know that it was supposed to be a comedy. I thought it was just a bad movie, until I got into it. John Cusack did a good job of making me laugh. 2.5 out of 5 from me.
