The hardware firewall is up and running now. It’s just an old Gateway sitting out in the living room with nothing attached to it except the power and two ethernet cables. This will work out better then the router that I had hooked up to it. Linux is so much fun!
I totally cannot find my headphones. Damn.
Mother’s day at the Mac Grill was not that bad. I only had to take crap from a few guests. I did roll silverware until Chris came and got me. He was like, “I really need you out there. I’ll send one of the others back here to roll.”
That made me feel good. So I guess I am doing a good job. The general manager asked me if Brooke trained me before I came in. I think I gave her a line about not getting anything from Brooke except her name the the awful stories she has. It was quite funny.
Today was the first day of working two jobs. We’ll have to see how this works out. I really hope that I can handle it.
I was put on the floor at Mac Grill by myself on my first day. There was a manager there for a little while. However he kept disappearing on me. I’ll be there in the morning, yes mother’s day. I really hope I am the silverware bitch. I do not want to have to host on mother’s day by myself. I’ll totally screw things up. I mean, it’s going to be my second day. At least rolling silverware I can be in the back and not have to see guests.
Something funny is that while I was there today I got a voice-mail from the Rolly Polly. She wants to hire me. I guess I’ll have to call her on Monday and tell her I have found my second job. No third job is needed.
So who feels sick right now? Me. I left work early, way early, so that I can come home and get sick here. I would rather be in the comforts of my own home’s restroom then the one at work. Granted I could still be getting paid if I was going to vomit at work, however it does not seem right. I guess my damn work ethic is always getting in the way. Then again some people would say that I have no work ethic. Oh well, I guess I’ll just double check and make sure everything is cleaned up.
